I used to make it for Elijah. The quick kind, apparently. But if she had a nightmare I'd bring her hot chocolate and I'd read to her. Do you know she never wanted me to choose any of her books? It was always mine, because they were longer. I think she didn't want me to put her back to bed too soon.

It's been a long time since she let me. Or maybe she doesn't have nightmares any more.
