Desperation makes people do crazy things.

But a mean little part of me likes knowing that they keep running into that wall.

The belief that they can often works in my favour. They always trip up. And it's become easy enough to know when someone is doing it for specific reasons.

I don't think it would ever have occurred to me. Not because I think I'm so good, it just wouldn't have. That's for rich people.

That's true
Some people think if you're unwealthy you're more virtuous. But it's just different methods. Even so, I still feel a special bias against rich people like the ones you talk about.

Would it amuse you if I said I felt the same? Though others might resolutely place me in that category.

Maybe a little, but I think it's cool.
You see them from the inside, so you can predict them better than other people, I bet. I'm always surprised. Like, when I hear about somebody paying off the cops, I think, oh, of course, but before that, a really stupid part of me isn't afraid enough of it happening. Considering sometimes the future talks to me, you'd think I'd know better.

I think sometimes it depends on the reasoning behind it. Is paying off law enforcement the worst thing, if it gets someone more apprehensible where they belong?

It would be very foolish indeed for a figure as public as me to act beyond the boundaries of the law. And if I did I would have to be very, very good at it.

Not many.

I could waste my time worrying of course, but there's no productivity in that. It's better to acknowledge things and then be prepared for them.

No, I don't plan on breaking any laws. I don't need to do radio crime any more, anyway, they let me have a job there! So now I get to do it legally.

No. Nothing will ever be as exciting as the first time you do it, right? And there's a heap of red tape.

But it can still be good. I guess that's adulthood, isn't it?
